A total of 3 Nusa Putra University study programs (Prodi) which are members of the business and humanities cluster, took part in the international accreditation assessment by AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs).

AQAS itself is an international accreditation institution from Germany that assesses the quality standards of universities in the world based on European higher education standards (EHEA).

AQAS international accreditation was created based on “Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area” (ESG) as a general standard for internal and external quality assurance in learning and teaching.

The 3 study programs in the Nusa Putra business and humanities cluster that took part in the AQAS accreditation assessment consisted of the Law Study Program, Management Study Program and Accounting Study Program.

The AQAS international accreditation assessment event itself took place for four days from 6 to 9 December 2022 with a panel of experts from various countries.

Quality improvement and international recognition
Chancellor of Nusa Putra University Dr. Kurniawan said that the international accreditation process was also continuing to be carried out for other study programs, not only for study programs in the business and humanities clusters, but also for study programs in the Engineering cluster and Computer Cluster.

“All study programs in Nusa Putra are currently in the process of taking part in AQAS International accreditation from Germany. Currently, 3 study programs in the Business and Humanities cluster, thank God, have had their field assessments carried out,” explained Dr. Kurniawan.

Dr. Kurniawan said that the international accreditation carried out by his campus was an effort to improve academic quality as well as recognition of his campus at an international level.

“We hope that by carrying out accreditation for all study programs in Nusa Putra, we can improve our quality and increase recognition of Nusa Putra at the international level,” he added.

Responding to the results of the field assessment that had been carried out, Dr. Kurniawan said he was happy because according to him his team’s preparations in preparing for this accreditation had been optimal and produced positive results.

“I am very happy and grateful to the entire team involved starting from the Vice Chancellors, Director of Quality Assurance, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Humanities, Heads of Study Programs and Lecturers who have prepared everything so that the results, God willing, will be positive,” he added.

In the near future, said Dr. Kurniawan, all study programs in the other two clusters will also immediately undergo field assessments.

“It is likely that at the beginning of the year all study programs in Nusa Putra will have carried out a field assessment,” he concluded.(*)
